Ten years after the end of her relationship with actor Bradley Cooper, Suki Waterhouse is finally reflecting on their "difficult" breakup.

In the August 2024 British Vogue cover story, Waterhouse described the split as "disorienting." She opened up about the challenges of going through a public breakup, noting, "When something very public happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult, and you're actually not doing well, and you can't explain yourself to the world, that's very isolating."

The Burn actress, 32, and Cooper, 49, dated from 2013 to 2015. Post-breakup, Cooper welcomed daughter Lea De Seine with Irina Shayk in 2017 and is now dating supermodel Gigi Hadid. Waterhouse, meanwhile, was linked to Diego Luna in 2017 before beginning her relationship with Robert Pattinson in 2018. The couple gave birth to a daughter who was born in March.

Reflecting on her past relationships in her 20s, Waterhouse described the love she received as often being superficial, calling it "a fetishization." She further explained to the outlet, "I think when you only get loved in that way, you only get punished. When you get into your 30s you're almost instantly afforded a little bit more respect. It's kind of delightful and shocking at the same time."

Discussing her relationship with Pattinson, 38, Waterhouse shared in the magazine that they connected over their mutual sense of "slight uncomfortable-ness." She emphasized that they had carefully planned to start a family, feeling as ready as they could be. "We really planned this," she said to the publication, continuing, "We were as ready as we were going to be."

The songwriter introduced her and Pattinson's infant to the world via Instagram on April 4. In the image, Waterhouse gazed into the camera while holding her baby, swaddled in a heart-designed blanket. "Welcome to the world angel ❤️," she captioned the moment. The Daisy Jones & the Six star and her husband appeared to confirm their baby's arrival when they were photographed pushing a pink stroller in Los Angeles on March 26.
