Following concern from fans, Sharon Stone acknowledged an alarming image she shared online. While on vacation in Turkey, the Basic Instinct actress shared a photo of herself standing in an elevator, dressed to the nines. However, her fans immediately noticed that Stone, 66, had a black eye.
Despite the black eye, Stone seemed to be in good spirits, captioning the post, "This trip has been tough; but I'm tougher."
Of course, the note about a "tough" trip worried fans, who were afraid she may had been in a violent or dangerous situation. The comments were flooded with Instagram users shaken up about the black eye. Stone later took to Instagram posting a video, explaining that she was safe and well. She also shared how she managed to get a black eye.
"I've been in so many hotels and so many countries that I got up in the middle of the night to pee, and didn't know where I was," Stone said. "And [I] smacked my face on the marble."
She further explained that the black eye wasn't the result of a physical altercation, saying "No, nobody did anything to me and yes, I'm just fine."
In the video, we see Stone enjoying a day by the pool, wearing a large, flowing hat, and sunglasses to cover up the black eye. At one point in the video, Stone removed the glasses, showing that the black eye is healing.
"It's getting better," Stone said. "But it really is a good looking shiner."
While this was a rather unfortunate event to endure while on vacation, Stone maintains a good sense of humor over the incident. In true Sharon Stone fashion, she closes the video with a joke.
"You should see what I did to that marble floor!," she said.
