Award-winning journalist Sarah Ferguson has criticized Ben Affleck, saying he was "high up on the list" of her least favorite interviewees.

The actor was branded "rude" and "not interested" by the five-time Walkley Award-winning presenter, who hosts ABC's flagship news and current affairs program 7:30.

The 58-year-old spoke out in a new interview with The Sydney Morning Herald's Sunday Life magazine, 16 months after chatting to Affleck, 51, on the aforementioned show.

At the time of their interview, two-time Academy Award winner Affleck was promoting the movie Air, which he directed and starred in. According toMailOnline, just four of Ferguson's questions to him made it to air in March last year.

When asked who her least favorite interviewee had been over her long career, she said Affleck "is quite high up on the list."

"He was just rude, not interested, going through the motions," she said.

Air, released in April 2023, followed sports marketing executive Sonny Vaccaro (portrayed by Matt Damon), who led Nike in its pursuit of Jordan.

During the appearance, Affleck was asked about how the film evolved into a story about Michael Jordan's family and who he trusted to give him notes with roles both in front and behind the camera.

Newsweek reached out to Affleck's representatives for comment via email.

Ferguson went on to say that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is the person she most wants to interview, along with former United Nations Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

She reported from the front lines of the Russia-Ukraine war and has won five Walkley Awards, the same number of Logies, and two Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts gongs.

Meanwhile, Affleck is at the center of reports of a split from his wife, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, two years after their July 2022 wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The couple reunited in 2021 after 18 years apart following the "Let's Get Loud" singer's split from her fiance, MLB star Alex Rodriguez. "Bennifer" made headlines in the early 2000s for their high-profile relationship, and ultimately ended their engagement in 2002.

While neither party has publicly confirmed the breakup speculation, multiple sightings of the two spending the summer apart have been reported. There have also been claims that their marital home is on the market and that Justice League star Affleck recently purchased a property of his own. Lopez has also sold her 4-bedroom New York City penthouse for some $23 million.
