Fans of Taylor Swift claim a recent move by the performer on tour is a dig at Kanye 'Ye' West, potentially reigniting the long-standing feud between Swift and the rapper.

West seemingly made reference to Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, in the track Lifestyle (Demo) from his new Vultures 2 album with the lyrics: "I twist my Taylor spliffs tight at the end like Travis Kelce," rapped by Lil Wayne.

Swift supporters, also known as Swifties, are saying the 14-time Grammy winner addressed the name-drop during the Red set of her Eras Tour concert in Warsaw, Poland, on Saturday, as reported by Page Six.

During the set, Swift wore a T-shirt onstage emblazoned with the words: I Bet You Think About Me, a reference to a track from the star's 2021 Red (Taylor's Version) album which is believed to be about her longtime rivalry with West.

Fans are convinced that it is no coincidence and that this is Swift's subtle response to the rapper.

The long-standing feud between Swift and West has continued to make headlines, for over a decade, proving that some grudges don't die easily. The infamous celebrity spat, which began at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, has seen numerous twists and turns over the years.

The underlying tension started when West interrupted Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the 2009 VMAs, declaring that Beyoncé had one of the best videos "of all time." This moment, now etched in pop culture history, set the stage for years of on-again, off-again drama.

The conflict seemed to subside for a while but flared up again in 2016 with the release of Kanye's song Famous, in which he raps, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous." Taylor expressed her displeasure, leading to a series of public statements and social media posts from both camps.

The situation escalated when Kim Kardashian, West's then-wife, released snippets of a phone call between West and Swift, suggesting Swift had approved the lyric, which Swift denied. The subsequent backlash for Taylor led to her taking a prolonged hiatus from the industry. The call was later alleged to have been edited by Kardashian.

Swift's concept album Reputation was said to be heavily influenced by the dispute, alluding to the media frenzy and betrayal she felt during the peak of their public disagreements.

Fans on social media have been quick to dissect public appearances, lyrics, and posts from both artists for possible hints about the feud. This ongoing speculation keeps the narrative alive.

While Swift has not confirmed these interpretations, her history of embedding personal stories in her music means these fan theories cannot be ruled out.

West's mention of Swift in his new album comes just months after the mention of her in his song, Carnival on his album, Vultures 1, where West raps he "made six Taylor Swift."

Following the latest reference, fans came out in support of Swift.

X user @blxndesolo said: "kanye west name dropped taylor swift in a song AGAIN??? bro it's pathetic, he's so obsessed."

User @roxyacruxs commented: "when i arrive to the who's the most obsessed with taylor swift competition but kanye west is already there."

Swift's transformation from country sweetheart to pop powerhouse with a reputation for standing up for herself is partly framed by her clashes with West. Similarly, Kanye's image as a provocative and polarizing figure is bolstered by his infamous interruptions and controversial lyrics.

It would appear that the feud between the two is still not fully resolved, keeping fans and the media perpetually intrigued.

Newsweek reached out to Swift's publicist via email on Monday for comment.
