Joshua Hall didn't mince words after his estranged wife, HGTV personality Christina Hall, eviscerated him online amid their contentious divorce.

"I prefer privacy, especially during something as life changing as a divorce I did not ask for. I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them," Josh wrote via Instagram on Friday, August 2 — just one days after Christina took to the platform to claim he wants millions from her in the divorce.

"Unfortunately the internet is forever," continued Josh, who used this post to break his silence on his split from the Christina on the Coast star, whom he wed in 2022.

"We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don't know with my private matters. Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time," he added. "Those who know each of us, know who we are."

Christina, for her part, lit into her estranged husband several days earlier, sharing Josh's recent photo of a sculpture that spelled out the word "HOPE."

"I 'HOPE' she pays me millions more than what she's already offered me," the interior designer captioned the photo via her Instagram Story, adding praying hands and money emojis. (Per a People source, Josh's initial post of the "HOPE" sculpture was not directed at Christina — it was taken at the cancer treatment center City of Hope, where he was visiting a friend with a terminal illness.)

While Josh's August 2 Instagram post was his first public statement on their split, Christina has used the app to openly blast Josh for requesting alimony and allegedly a large amount of money.

Both Christina and Josh filed their own divorce paperwork last month; with Christina listing their date of separation as July 7 and Josh listing it as July 8. Within those 24 hours, Christina claimed in court documents obtained by Page Six, Josh allegedly withdrew $35,000 from her account.

"I have worked my a** off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed," the Flip Off star wrote on Instagram in late July.

Christina — who shares 13-year-old daughter Taylor and 8-year-old son Brayden with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, as well as 4-year-old son Hudson with ex-husband Ant Anstead — also called Josh "an insecure man with a large ego."
