Simone Biles, after a record-breaking run at the 2024 Paris Olympics, decided to reciprocate the consistent support received by her husband, new Bears safety Jonathan Owens, by cheering him on against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, August 18.
The Olympian was spotted wearing a grayscale jacket on top of a black romper and matching Prada bucket hat. The jacket featured members of the Green Bay Packers, the Bears' notorious rivals. Biles was also still wearing her walking boot due to the calf injury she sustained before her most recent Olympics ventures.
To commemorate the event, the gymnast even took to her X (formerly Twitter) page to share photos of herself and her hubby on the field with the caption "bear down."
Since posting the photos, fans have commented on Biles's jacket choice, second-guessing her true allegiance to her husband and his newfound team.
One fan took to the post to share, "Now @jjowens_3, go get your wife a custom Bears jacket, that'd be fire. "
"How dare you wear that jacket. Do you not respect your man? " another disgruntled fan wrote.
A third commented, "Simone, girl I am riding with you, I am. But also as a Bears fan, please do not wear that Packers jacket up in there. We have a whole rivalry, girl."
While an outspoken follower offered her a warning, "Not with that s***t stained jacket you were wearing. Change it asap or you will get booed at every single game."
The St. Louis native joins the Bears after a very successful career, including playing for the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, the Houston Texans from 2019 to 2022, and the Green Bay Packers in 2023.
Owens and Biles tied the knot in a quaint Houston courthouse in April 2023, celebrating with an extravagant wedding reception in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, weeks later.
