Livvy Dunne has been flipping and tumbling since she was three years old –– however the LSU gymnast may be equally known for her TikTok and social media presence. But the 21-year-old is not just about impressive routines; she's also a trendsetter in the world of leotards.
"I'm not Dunne yet," she teased in a July 2023 Instagram post, revealing to fans that she would be returning to the Tigers for a fifth and final year (after missing a year in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
It's safe to say Dunne's leotard collection over the past four years has become as iconic as her performances –– featuring everything from glittering gems and bold prints to the school's staple LSU deep purple. As she gears up for her fifth year with the LSU Tigers, we're taking a look back at some of Dunne's most iconic leos.
Purple leotard with sheer sleeves
The gymnast showed off this gorgeous purple, white, and silver leotard on her Instagram back in 2022. The one-piece featured a predominantly purple body with sheet white sleeves covered in silver crystals in a striped pattern on the bodice. A crystal "belt" appeared to cinch the athlete's waist as she posed for the camera.
Fans seemed to enjoy the cute 'fit as well. "Give me that outfit pls 🔥🔥🔥🔥," commented one fan, while another said "Cute uniform!"
Wonder Woman vibes
Switching up from the typical LSU purple, Dunne debuted a gold and dark blue leo on her Instagram in February 2022. "Wonder Woman vibes" she appropriately captioned the photo, where she showed off the ensemble, which featured tons of crystals and a gold bodice which somewhat resembled a shield. Her hair was tied back with a gold bow as she posed for the camera.
Dunne also referred to the leotard as an "iconic" one in a TikTok ranking of her favorite outfits while competing.
Dreamy white and sparkly leotard
Dunne's flawless tan was the star of the show as she wore this white, bedazzled leotard at the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Gymnastics Championships. The gymnast looked out to the crowd after she competed in the all white ensemble which featured sheer fabric around the shoulders encrusted with crystals.
A sleeveless option
The young gymnast showed off a short-sleeve purple and black LSU leotard with the caption "ready for more 😼." accompanying the Instagram photo, which was uploaded in January 2023. Dunne's hair was pulled back into a bun that featured two braids on the top of her head.
Dunne's personal favorite
Dunne mentioned in her TikTok leotard ranking that this one took the cake, calling it a 10/10. This leotard is mostly black with deep blue fabric on the shoulders, arms, and bodice. Crystals that resemble a crown are featured on the front part of the leo along with gold accents on the sleeves.
All about the Tigers
At the LSU vs. Florida Gators meet in February 2024, Dunne opted for a simpler option. The gymnast wore a shiny purple sleeveless leotard with "Tigers" written across the front in crystals. The one-piece also featured sheer cut outs above the waist and gold accents.
Pretty in pink
Throwing it back to 2019 when Dunne posed in a hot pink leotard with University of Kentucky gymnast Isabella Magnelli. The girls posed back-to-back in their matching bright uniforms which were both completely covered in crystals.
More purple and more sparkles
Yes, that's right –– even more purple and even more sparkles! Dunne opted for another purple and sparkly leotard for her meet against Auburn in February 2024. This time, however, the leotard featured cut-out details along the neckline and sheer sleeves. The bodice featured three triangle sections completely covered in crystals.
Red, white, and more red
Back in 2017, Dunne was photographed in a color we don't often see her in –– red. Posing along LSU's Alyona Shchennikova and two-time Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee at a training camp, a young Dunne posed with her hand on her hip as she rocked the all red, sleeveless leo, which also featured a burst of crystals coming from one of the shoulders.
Purple power
A darker-haired Dunne wore a shiny, deep purple leotard with sheer sleeves, neckline and crystals down the entire front while posing with LSU alum Elena Arenas in 2020.
A standout choice
Dunne opted for a pink and white two-toned leotard for her balance beam performance during the Jr. Women's 2016 Classic. The leotard featured a pink and white gradient on the body with pink sheer sleeves and crystals on the front.
