Real Housewives of Orange County's Tamra Judge recently gave her followers a pretty raw look at her recovery process following a significant procedure on her face.
In an Instagram Reel posted on Sunday, September 1, the Judge showed off the rather dramatic aftermath of her plastic surgery and carbon-dioxide laser treatment. "Day three and the swelling's making a statement. Progress isn't always pretty, but it's happening. 💆🏼♀️✨" the 57-year-old captioned the Reel.
The mini-vlog revealed the reality star's extremely swollen face as well as her struggle to open her eyes due to the extensive puffiness. "Hey guys, it's day three, and apparently, this is when the swelling peaks," she explained, displaying various angles of her heavily swollen visage. Judge explained how the CO2 laser treatment, which targets wrinkles, contributed to the intense facial swelling, extending down to her chest. Judge described the aftermath as having a "nice and crispy" texture, though it clearly looked uncomfortable.
Judge's appearance seemingly shocked fans, letting it known in the comments. "What is the green stuff on your face?! It reminds me of the wicked witch from wizard of oz!!" asked one fan. Another stated, "CO2 seems so aggressive for your skin. It was close to perfect before! Hope you heal fast and can't wait to see the after! 😘❤️"
Other's commended the social media star for sharing her procedure, leaving comments like, "Thank you for sharing this. 👏👏 love seeing behind the scenes and knowing what the experience is like before you see the beautiful after," and "Appreciate you sharing your journey...It shows vulnerability and genuineness. 🫶🏼 "
Earlier in the week, the housewife had documented her surgical journey in another Instagram Reel. The video showed some pics of Judge in a hospital gown and hair net, followed by video footage of her post-surgery with a bandaged head and blue-tinged skin from the chemical peel. In her caption, she explained her choice to undergo an upper facelift after previously having a lower one years ago. "Seven years ago, I had a lower facelift but skipped the upper—like painting the house but forgetting the trim. Stay tuned for updates!" she said in the caption.
The procedure could have served as a birthday treat for Judge's 57th birthday, as she celebrated her special day on September 2, 2024.
