Paris Hilton joked that glitter runs in her veins after being injured on the set of her new music video.

The media personality was filming the video for her track, "Bad B**** Academy," just weeks after a fire broke out in her trailer when she managed to hurt her knee.

In a since deleted post on Instagram that was seen by Newsweek, Hilton showed how she was sitting on a metal grate with a huge gash in her knee and was trying to pull something out of the cut.

"Is there like glass in it?" Hilton asked, and someone behind the camera replied, "Oh, it's your sequin."

"I guess glitter really does run in my veins," Hilton wrote in the caption of the video. "Can't wait for you to see all this hard work come to life in the #BBA music video on Friday!"

Elsewhere in the video, a crew member can be heard telling Hilton she's a trooper for getting on with the shoot despite her injury.

"Well in this shot we're very close, so if we want to bandage it for right now and then we can really address it for makeup and everything," they tell Hilton, saying they wouldn't see her knee in the shot they're about to film.

"So we'll just make you comfortable and safe, we'll get this last shot because you're such a trooper."

Hilton joked in response, "Then it will heal while we get ready for the next shot."

In the next portion of the video, a person treating Hilton's wound also joked that she had put "blood, sweat, fire and tears" into making the video which she laughed at and agreed.

"I don't know how that happened. Slaying too hard," Hilton said to the camera, before finishing with, "the show must go on."

Newsweek contacted Hilton's representatives by email for comment.

The joke about fire referred to a blaze on set in Hilton's trailer which she told fans about it on her Instagram stories on August 16.

"Sadly an accidental fire broke out in my trailer on the set of my music video today," she wrote on a photo showing the burnout vehicle, per Hello!

"As heartbreaking as it is, I'm so thankful everyone is safe and I'm incredibly grateful for the amazing support I have around me."

Hilton is getting ready to release her sophomore album, Infinite Icon, almost 20 years after the 2006 debut of her self-titled debut which featured the cult hit song, "Stars Are Blind."

The first single from Infinite Icon was "I'm Free" featuring Rina Sawayama and "Bad B**** Academy" is set for release on Friday before the album finally drops on September 6.
