1,000-Lb. Sisters' Amy Slaton is in some hot water following her arrest at a Tennessee zoo over Labor Day weekend.
According to a Facebook post made by the Crockett County Sheriff's Department on Monday, September 2, police responded to an unusual incident at the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, where a camel reportedly bit someone in Slaton's party. However, when deputies arrived at the scene, they were met with strong, suspicious odors coming from her vehicle, prompting a further investigation.
Slaton, 36, and her companion, Brian Scott Lovvorn, were subsequently arrested after police found illegal substances in the vehicle, charging them with "illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment." Both Slaton and Lovvorn have been booked into the Crockett County Jail, according to the post. The details surrounding the camel bite remain unclear, as authorities have not disclosed the identity of the victim or the extent of any injuries.
The post has certainly racked up a fair amount of comments, with some criticizing the couple, while others sympathized, deeming the arrest a bit too harsh. "My concern is for her children.
