Snoop Dogg has seemingly confirmed reports that he is helping his longtime friend Martha Stewart find a partner.

The two formed an unlikely friendship after the rapper appeared on Stewart's cooking show, The Martha Stewart Show, in 2008. Then, in 2015, they were seated next to each other for the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, which cemented their friendship—and they've been close ever since. Now Snoop Dogg has set himself the task of finding someone new for the lifestyle mogul to date.

Taking to his Instagram story, the rapper shared a link to a post from The Source with an image of the two hugging each other. "Snoop Dogg on a mission to find Martha Stewart her perfect match," the text on the image reads.

While Snoop Dogg didn't comment further, the caption of the original post says: "In a heartwarming display of friendship, rapper Snoop Dogg is determined to help his longtime friend, lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart, find the love of her life."

Newsweek emailed spokespeople for Snoop Dogg and Stewart for comment on Tuesday.

Stewart is currently single, but in 1961 she married her now ex-husband, Andrew Stewart, with whom she shares a daughter, Alexis. The couple separated in 1987 and divorced in 1990. Subsequently, Martha Stewart dated actor Anthony Hopkins but ended the relationship after she saw him portray convicted cannibal Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.

"I've tried going out with some actors in the past, and their parts scare me, some of them, and most notably was the man who played Hannibal Lecter ... And I couldn't, I couldn't get past the Hannibal Lecter," she said during an episode of The Martha Stewart Podcast on July 18.

"That's a specifically tough one, though, I would say to get past. It would be, like, 'No, I can't snuggle with you.' "

Stewart added: "It was so hard."

Following her split with Hopkins, she dated billionaire Charles Simonyi on and off from 1993 to 2008.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Snoop Dogg wants to help the lifestyle mogul. Since the two celebrities became friends, they've spoken fondly of each other in the press and even had a cooking show together.

"I've never met anyone like Martha Stewart. When we come together, it's a natural combination of love, peace and harmony," Snoop said in a 2016 with Rolling Stone.

The same year, the duo teamed up for the VH1 Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party cooking show, which saw them inviting their celebrity friends on the show to enjoy "cocktails, cooking, conversation, and where nothing is off-limits." It was a critical success and even garnered an Emmy nomination. Guests included Seth Rogen, Patti LaBelle, Matthew McConaughey, RuPaul, Usher, Wiz Khalifa, and Ashley Graham.

When Snoop Dogg released his first cookbook in 2018, Stewart wrote the foreword: "Snoop and I have a special bond that dates back to when he first appeared on The Martha Stewart Show in 2008. Our relationship was born from our connection to food as we whipped up some cognac mashed potatoes and green brownies.

"Working with Snoop in the kitchen has been a remarkable experience for me. Not only has he taught me new lingo and cultural references, he surprised me with his unique cooking techniques and recipes."

More recently, the two friends teamed up for coverage of the dressage competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics on August 3. The rapper was there for NBC as a "special correspondent."

"Snoop called me, and he knows I love horses," Stewart said during an interview on Today. "He's a little fearful of horses."
