Joe Alwyn shared a pensive photo one day after his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, cozied up with boyfriend Travis Kelce at the Chiefs vs. Ravens game.
On Friday, September 6 — one day after Swift, 34, held hands with the Chiefs tight end at the season opener — Alwyn, 33, took to Instagram to post a carousel promoting his latest film, The Brutalist.
The English actor captioned the series of images, "T h e B r u t a l i s t @labiennale 💚 🎥 🇮🇹 @bradycorbet @fastvold ❤️ 💫 🙏,"disabling the comments on the post as is his norm. Most of the pictures in his photo dump appeared to be taken from Alwyn's trip to Italy as the historical drama premiered on Sunday, September 1, at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
The first photo of the lot is a black and white snap of Alwyn appearing moody, posing with his hand on his cheek while looking off to the side, seemingly leaning on the hood of a car.
In the other pictures, however, Alwyn smiled and looked relaxed, including in two other shots seemingly taken from the same black and white photo shoot in the first photo.
The Conversations With Friends actor shared a group shot of him and his castmates on the red carpet of the Venice International Film Festival, where he smiled with his shades on. He even shared a picture from the glamorous Aston Martin event -- attended by many A-listers like Benedict Cumberbatch and Kevin Costner -- where he can be seen posing with castmate Adrien Brody, 51, and legendary actor and filmmaker George Clooney, 63.
Alwyn dated Swift for six years, from 2016 to 2023. After his breakup earlier this year, the Kinds of Kindness star spoke to the Sunday Times about their split — and the public scrutiny he faced.
"I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathise and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years," Alwyn said. "That is a hard thing to navigate. What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it's suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in."
