Comedian Nikki Glaser brought her dad as a date to the Creative Emmys, but nobody knew who he was.

Glaser, who was recently announced at the 2025 Golden Globes host, brought her dad, EJ Glaser, to the event on Saturday night, where she presented an award. The Creative Emmys honor artistic and technical achievement in television and were held at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live

She shared multiple photos of them together from the event and revealed on her Instagram stories that people thought he was her agent.

"He was crying during this," Glaser captioned a photo of the father-daughter duo embracing on the Emmy red carpet.

"Thank you, dad. So cool to have you with me. Most people thought he was my agent."

Newsweek contacted Glaser's representatives by email for comment.

EJ Glaser, a musician, was fully the doting dad and also posted photos from the night to his own Instagram page.

"Nikki took the old man to the Emmys last night! What a thrill!" he wrote.

In another Instagram post, Nikki Glaser shared a range of photos from the awards night including her onstage presenting an award, getting glammed up for the night, and posing with other creatives at the after-party.

"I didn't win, but I did," she captioned the post.

In August, Glaser was named as the host of the 82nd Golden Globes Awards and she gave an insight into what to expect.

"The Golden Globes is not only a huge night for TV and film but also for comedy. It's one of the few times that show business not only allows but encourages itself to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so). (God I hope so.)" Glaser wrote in a statement. "It's one of my favorite nights of television and now I get a front row seat (actually, I think I have to host from the stage). It's an exciting, yet challenging gig because it's live, unpredictable and in front of Hollywood's biggest stars (who also might be getting wasted while seated next to their recent exes)."

She continued: "Some of my favorite jokes of all time have come from past Golden Globes opening monologues when Tina [Fey], Amy [Poehler] or Ricky [Gervais] have said exactly what we all didn't know we desperately needed to hear.

"I just hope to continue in that time-honored tradition (that might also get me canceled). This is truly a dream job. Plus, I no longer have to feel guilty for every TV show and movie I've binged over the past year. It was all worth it. (Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Season Four will be nominated, right?)"
