Age is nothing but a number to Dick Van Dyke!

He proved as much on Saturday, September 7, as the 98-year-old showed off his dance moves while accepting the Emmy for outstanding variety special for his birthday special, Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic.

The win ties him with Norman Lear for oldest winner of a Creative Arts Emmy, with Lear earning the title in 2020 for his special Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear's All in the Family and Good Times.

Van Dyke's special was a two-hour tribute to the Mary Poppins star on CBS, featuring archival footage of him, and guest appearances from stars like Carol Burnett, Jim Carrey, Cedric the Entertainer, and Julie Andrews.

"Thank you, that reception, I cannot tell you what it means," Van Dyke said, before showing off his dance moves and reminding everyone he turns "99 next month."

After inviting his wife, Arlene Silver, 52, onstage, he continued, "The young lady who got this award, you may think of the word nepotism and I would understand it, but this lady got the job all by herself as producer of the Dick Van Dyke special because she knows me inside and out, and knows how I work, and don't take no sass from anybody. Arlene Van Dyke!"

While onstage, she praised her husband — who is 46 years her senior — saying, "Thank you so much. It is an honor to spend my life with you... We got four nominations that put love, heart and soul into the show. To honor you, you've created endless joy and playfulness for generations to come."

Showing off their playful relationship, Silver later reminded Van Dyke that Lear was the first 98 year old to win the Emmy, after he gushed to the press room, "I'm probably the oldest Emmy winner."

Van Dyke first met Silver at the SAG Awards in 2006, where she was working as a makeup artist. They hit it off, after which he hired her as his makeup artist for other projects. They became friends, and Silver supported Van Dyke after his wife Michelle Triola died from cancer in 2009.

"She was such a support, I fell in love," Van Dyke told People. The pair went on to tie the knot on a leap day, February 29, 2012.
