Nick Cannon may think that he and Mariah Carey "Belong Together," but he's not living in a "Fantasy."

Despite his previous comments to E! News, Cannon, 43, acknowledged that getting back together with Carey, 55, was unlikely to ever happen. "Yeah, she don't want me," Cannon told People at Fox Fall Press Day on Thursday, Sept. 5. "She's moved on from my crazy antics."

The outlet was following up on Cannon's August comments about his ex, who he said he "absolutely" wanted to get back together with. "Be stupid if I didn't," he told E! News in the same story. But even then, he said that his ex-wife wouldn't "want" him anymore.

When People followed up on those comments, Cannon reiterated the same point. He also pointed out that his twins with Carey, Moroccan and Monroe, were now quite grow up at 13 years old. "Teenagers are scary. I feel like I'm still a teenager," Cannon told People. "To see my daughter literally becoming a young woman before my eyes, it is very scary."

The TV personality has several more children to watch grow up–a total of 9, to be precise, from 5 different mothers. Cannon fathered Golden Sagon, 7, Powerful Queen, 3, and Rise Messiah, 1, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion and Zillion, 3, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 1, with DJ Abby De La Rosa; daughter Legendary Love, 2, with Bre Tiesi; daughter Onyx Ice, 1, with model LaNisha Cole; and daughter Halo Marie, 1, with Alyssa Scott.

Scott and Cannon sadly lost their first child, Zen, to brain cancer when Zen was one year old. Cannon's children all spend time together as one unconventional family, the actor told People. In the summer of 2024 they "hung out in Malibu, traveled and went to the beach a lot."

Cannon and Carey met and married in 2008, welcomed their twins in 2011, and their divorce was finalized in 2016. More recently, Carey has spoken publicly about her mother Patricia and her sister Alison, both of whom passed away on the same day -- Monday, August 26. As she revealed in her memoir, she had complex, estranged relationships with both women, but she said in a statement to People that she was able to be with her mother in her final days.
