Prince William and Princess Kate's public displays of affection in a new video released by Kensington Palace have won praise from fans, as Kate provided an update on her cancer treatment on Monday.

William and Kate's relationship has become an increasing subject of public fascination in recent months, with Netflix dramatizing their meeting and early dating life in the final season of their hit royal drama, The Crown, which was screened at the end of 2023.

The couple met at St. Andrew's University in Scotland in 2001 and began dating soon afterward. Their relationship was made public in 2004 after they were spotted embracing during a skiing vacation, and six years later they announced their engagement.

William and Kate married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, and together have three children: Prince George, born in 2013; Princess Charlotte, born in 2015; and Prince Louis, who was born in 2018.

On Monday, Kate issued the first major update on her health since June. The royal revealed earlier in the year that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing a course of preventive chemotherapy.

In a three-minute video statement, the princess announced that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment and was focusing on staying "cancer free."

The video provided an unprecedented insight into the private life of the Wales family, including domestic scenes filmed at their home in Norfolk, England, in August.

Uploaded to TikTok by user, teamwalesfamily, a compilation of the clips shown in the video which feature William and Kate's numerous displays of affection has been praised, and was viewed over 150,000 times on the platform in under 24 hours.

One of the clips shows the couple seated in woodland with the princess resting her head on her husband's shoulder as he holds her hand.

Another captured the moment they lay together on a blanket in sand dunes with Kate's arm around William as they shared a joke. Further footage showed the couple holding hands, sharing a kiss on the cheek and rolling together and their children on the beach.

Captioned, "THIS IS TRUE LOVE!," the video has received in excess of 17,000 likes and more than 400 comments so far, many of which have praised the couple and their tactile dynamic.

"They're so cute. They were uncontrollable in front of that camera. Even Louis is like 'guys?!'" wrote one TikTok user.

"Beautiful couple and the children so much love between them," posted another, with a further user adding: "It's so important for children to see how much their parents love each other. This looks like the children are accustomed to affection between mom and dad. It's beautiful."
