Chappell Roan has revealed in a new interview that in a recent fan interaction she collapsed to the ground crying after a man berated her for not signing an autograph.

The "Good Luck, Babe!" singer has enjoyed a meteoric rise to success this year, but has been honest about how her sudden fame has come with pitfalls, such as rabid fans who don't respect her boundaries.

She has now opened up about just how scary some of her fan interactions have been, including the fact that she has a stalker. The person met Roan in her home state of Missouri and has turned up to her parents' home and Roan's hotel room in New York.

"So now I have to have security," she told Rolling Stone magazine in a new profile. "It's so lame."

In a separate incident, a man turned up to an airport in two different cities after fans learned her travel information, and she said that left her sobbing and "screaming."

The man lambasted Roan at Seattle airport for not signing an autograph and the police were called. He then appeared again among a pack of paparazzi at Los Angeles airport when she returned from the trip.

"I got home and dropped to my knees," she said of her reaction to the interaction. "I have a hard time crying now because of my meds, but I sobbed and was screaming."

Roan was referring to the medication she takes for bipolar II disorder, a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings.

She made headlines in August when she lashed out at fans who demanded her attention, such as wanting photos or autographs, even if she was not in the right mood to accommodate them.

"I don't give a f*** if you think it's selfish of me to say no for a photo or for your time or for a hug. That's not normal, that's weird!" she stated in a video posted to TikTok.

"Just answer my questions for a second," she asks her fans in the two-part clip. "If you saw a random woman on the street, would you yell at her from the car window? Would you harass her in public? Would you go up to a random lady and say, 'Can I get a photo with you?' And she's like, 'No, what the f—?' And then you get mad at this random lady? Would you be offended if she says no to your time because she has her own time?" she said, adding: "Would you stalk her family? Would you follow her around? Would you try to dissect her life and bully her online? This is a lady you don't know, and she doesn't know you at all."

Newsweek contacted Roan, LAX and Seattle airport representatives by email outside of normal office hours for comment.
