Hayden Panettiere's representative has released a statement after a video shared on People's Instagram account on Wednesday, September 18 has left fans concerned.

"Speaking about her brother for the first time was very emotional for her β€” and it had been a long and exhausting day for her. She was not under the influence," her rep told Page Six.

There were two videos posted to People's Instagram account that made fans and celebrities worried β€” one of Panettiere talking about grief after the loss of her brother, and another in which the Scream VI actress talked about her "mini-me" daughter.

The latter caused the most concern, with celebrities like former Dancing with the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd, commenting, "This interview should be removed asap!!"

Celebrity hair colorist Justin Anderson β€” who has worked with the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Miley Cyrus, Emma Roberts, and Kirsten Dunst β€” also implored the magazine to take down the video. He posted, "hey people magazine come on now, this isn't very nice πŸ₯ΉπŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ’” don't highlight someone's off day like this for views 😒."

Kirbie Johnson, co-host of the Gloss Angeles podcast, also begged the publication to take the post down, even tagging Marque PR, who work with Panettiere.

She also took to her own Instagram Stories, posting, "I'm not going to repost them but the interviews with Hayden Panettiere on People are gross. Unconscionable. How were those videos filmed, let alone published? I have questions for both People and her publicist. Somebody check on her!"

Fans flooded the comments to share their concern as well, with one writing, "Slurred speech eyes can barely stay open, trying to make it through long words... Very sad 😒."

Another said it reminded them of Anna Nicole Smith, who passed away due to an accidental drug overdose in 2007.

"There should be a law against doing interviews and also posting videos of a public figure OBVIOUSLY under the influence of something OR just not doing well. Shame. Reminds me of Anna Nicole...." they commented.

The "alarming" videos come just a couple years after Panettiere spoke with People about her struggles with addiction, sobriety, and postpartum depression.

After years of struggles β€” including her relationship with ex Wladimir Klitschko falling apart and having to send her daughter Kaya to live with Klitschko amid her addiction β€” it was a health issue that convinced Panettiere to get help.

She eventually decided to enter rehab for eight months after being hospitalized due to jaundice, and says it gave her the tools to "get over the hump." She called remaining sober "an everyday choice."

"I'm checking in with myself all the time. But I'm just so grateful to be part of this world again, and I will never take it for granted again," she told the publication in 2022.
