Actor Bug Hall evidently welcomed a son on Wednesday, September 18, and revealed the news in a rather polarizing way.

The Little Rascals actor, 39, announced the birth of his fifth child – a son named Mark Athanasius Chad Anthony Hall-Barnett — via X (formerly Twitter) by announcing "I have an heir!"

When someone pointed out that Hall had already had four daughters, Hall replied "I said heir, not dishwasher."

The comment was met with much backlash online, with one person telling him "i hope when you're old and senile your daughters drop you off to a nursing home to suffer in silence."

Many X users called him out, accusing him of misogyny.

"This is so sad...men hate women so much that they can't even treat their daughters with respect," said another person.

Author Ashley Reese also caught wind of Hall's post, and said that this is a "Vile way to talk about your daughters."

Hall replied to Reese, saying "You're just mad that my wife's children are all from the same father."

Reese then slammed the actor, saying "Not alfalfa trying to make racist jokes."

Hall continued making controversial X posts, later complaining about the birth certification process.

"I just had to cross out 'birthing parent' and 'non birthing parent' on the birth certificate form, and replaced them with 'mother' and 'father,' Hall wrote. "They even changed 'mother's maiden name' to 'mother's previous legal name.' They really do hate you and everything you believe in."

Once again, more X users responded, suggesting that he's making a big deal out of a small matter.

"this is so petty and immature," said one user. "grow the f**k up and realize you are not the only person in the world."

Another made a clever reference to Little Rascals, which is arguable Hall's most notable work.

"this is why darla left your a**," they said.

It doesn't appear Hall will backtrack on these posts anytime soon. On Thursday, September 19, Hall once again took to X, doubling down on his comments. "The dishwashers are making a ruckus," he said.
