Ardent Trump supporter Kid Rock issued an intense, profanity-filled message in the wake of the assassination attempt on the former president.
"You f*** with Trump, you f*** with me," the 53-year-old rocker shouted in a selfie video posted on Instagram, pointing at the camera. Kid Rock, who shared the clip on Saturday, July 13 — hours after Trump was shot in the ear at a rally in Pennsylvania — wore a "White Boy of the Year" baseball cap while shirtless in the footage.
His post received support from fellow country artists like Randy Houser ("Motherf***ing right," Houser commented) as well as Donald Trump Jr., who reacted to the "All Summer Long" artist's rallying cry with three American flag emojis.
In a harrowing moment that instantly went viral, Trump survived an assassination attempt earlier on Saturday while speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was shot in the ear; blood smeared on his face. The shooter was killed. One rally attendee died, while two others have severe injuries, per AP News.
Kid Rock has long been a staunch supporter of Trump — oftentimes to much backlash. (Trump, for his part, has returned the favor by introducing the rapper at one of his tour stops and appearing with him at a UFC fight in 2023.)
The "Picture" singer has been steeped in his fair share of controversies over the years. In 2023, he was slammed for shooting at Bud Light cans after the brand featured trans personality Dylan Mulvaney in an ad.
"F*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch," Kid Rock said in the controversial video, which he shared on social media at the time.
In an in-depth profile in Rolling Stone published in May, the reporter alleged that Kid Rock pulled out a gun during their discussion at the rocker's home.
"I got a f***ing goddamn gun right here if I need it," he allegedly said. "I got them everywhere!"
