Taylor Swift's childhood best friend, Abigail Anderson Berard, is officially expecting her first child with her husband, Charles Berard.

The pop star's BFF announced the news in the most perfect way – a nod to Swift. On Wednesday, July 24, Abigail posted on Instagram, referencing the song "But Daddy I Love Him" from The Tortured Poets Department album, captioning it, "I'm having his babyyy..." In the photo Abigail is proudly displaying her baby bump while snacking on Cheez-Its, and tagged her husband's handle on her growing belly.

Swift herself commented on the photo, saying, "When the internet says 'MOTHER,' I feel like this pic is actually what they mean," which has already received over 10,000 likes from fans.

Other congratulations from the "Cruel Summer" singer's celebrity friends included comments from Kelleigh Teller and Lily Aldridge, as well as Abigail's husband Charles sweetly noting, "Never been happier to be tagged in a post."

Needless to say, Swifites are ecstatic over the fact that the 14-time Grammy winner is going to be an "aunt." "@taylorswift AUNTIE TAYTAY!!" said one excited fan, while another chimed in, "@taylorswift re-entering her auntie tay era." Another fan commented on Swift's knitting skills, saying, "i know taylor's fingers are sore from all the knitting. congratulations 🫶🏻."

Abigail and Swift's friendship dates back to their high school days, a bond celebrated in the song "Fifteen" from the songstress's 2008 album Fearless. The lyrics reflect their journey together, from sharing classes to dealing with teenage heartbreaks, referencing a "redhead named Abigail."

In a 2009 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Swift revealed the pair, now both 34-years-old, sat next to each other in French class on their first day as freshmen at Hendersonville High School in Tennessee, and have been inseparable ever since. "She wanted to be a swimmer and go off on a college scholarship for swimming and I wanted to be a singer. Now she's off at Kansas on a swimming scholarship and I'm singing," she said to Winfrey, reflecting on their relationship.
