A journalist is using the current It Ends With Us controversy to crowdsource opinions on a past interview she conducted with Blake Lively.

As Lively, 36, and her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni continue to make headlines for the alleged drama surrounding the film, Norwegian-born journalist Kjersti Flaa is reflecting back on her 2016 interview with Lively.

Lively was promoting the Woody Allen film Cafe Society with co-star Parker Posey at the time, and had also just announced that she was expecting her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds. Flaa congratulated her on her "little bump," referring to the baby bump that Lively had unveiled at the 2016 Met Gala around the same time (Lively and Reynolds are now proud parents of four children.)

Lively did not appear to appreciate the comment, and responded by congratulating Flaa on her own "little bump" (Flaa was not pregnant.) Posey then jumped in, referring to her posterior and her breasts as "little bumps," much to Lively's amusement.

In the caption for the interview, which she reposted on August 11, Flaa wrote, "Is it not ok to congratulate someone on their pregnancy or to ask another woman about costumes she is wearing in a film? Let me know what you think in the comments." Flaa refers to Lively's response when asked whether she enjoyed wearing period costumes for Cafe Society, which takes place in the 1930s. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star responded by wondering if the interviewer would ask the men about their costumes. Flaa replied, "I would," but at that point Lively and Posey were already discussing the costumes worn by their male co-stars (Many viewers in the comments were sympathetic towards Flaa and questioned Lively's reaction during the sit-down.)

Flaa's repost of her 2016 interview with Lively comes on the heels of criticism of the Gossip Girl alum's promotion of It Ends With Us. The film, based on Colleen Hoover's novel of the same name, is about a woman who enters a relationship and becomes a victim of domestic violence.

Lively has received criticism from those who have found fault with how she's been marketing the movie — alleging that the star has been promoting is more as a "girls' night out flick" instead of a movie about serious subject matter. As reported by BuzzFeed, Lively has used the film to cross-promote her various businesses, including her new haircare line Blake Brown and her beverage company Betty Buzz.

Meanwhile, Baldoni, 40, has received significant criticism of his own. While fans have praised the way that he spoke to press about domestic violence, others have noted that his co-stars have unfollowed him on social media and sources alleged to The Daily Mail that the atmosphere on set was "borderline abusive." Baldoni has admitted that there was "friction" on set and said that it contributed to "the beautiful art." Lively has also alluded to creative disagreements about things like the film's soundtrack.
