Travis Kelce just "acquired a significant share" in a racehorse — one with such a Swiftian name there's no way it could be a coincidence.

Kelce's unexpected new purchase of the 3-year-old gelding — aptly named Swift Delivery — was announced by Team Valor International CEO and founder Barry Irwin on Friday, August 27 in a press release via Blood Horse.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, purchased the stake with the Zoldan family, who own Phantom Fireworks, the "largest pyrotechnic retailer in North America," the press release states. (The actual owners of Swift Delivery are Team Valor and Gary Barber, though both the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the Zoldans now hold a share of the horse.)

Kelce, for his part, goes way back with the Zoldans, who hail from his home state of Ohio. He has a longstanding friendship with Alex Zoldan, and attended the Kentucky Derby with the family earlier this year.

Per Blood Horse, Swift Delivery is the son of racehorses Not This Time and Raegen Harper. (To add in another Swift reference, Not This Time is part of Taylor Made Farm's Taylor Made Stallions. Swift Delivery himself also appears to be sponsored by Taylor Made.)

Swift Delivery, whose jockey is Patrick Husbands, has already competed in two races, including a win back in July. His first stakes race — and the first one with Kelce as part owner — will be on August 31 at the Toronto Cup.

Kelce's latest purchase comes on the heels of his historic new podcast deal. Earlier on Tuesday, it was revealed that the three-time Super Bowl champ and brother Jason Kelce inked a new, three-year, $100 million deal with Amazon's Wondery for their hugely popular podcast, New Heights.
