Brittany Mahomes isn't letting up, despite the recent backlash over her social media activity.
The controversy began after Mahomes, 28, liked an Instagram post from US presidential candidate Donald Trump shared on Tuesday, August 13. After receiving much pushback, Mahomes later took to her Instagram Story on Friday, August 23, to address haters with "deep-rooted issues."
Mahomes appeared to have unliked Trump's post — which contained phrases like "seal the border and stop the migrant invasion," "keep men out of women's sports," and "secure our elections" — and it looks like she doesn't even follow him on social media. But she still seemingly posits that the backlash was unwarranted. In another story, shared Monday, August 26, Mahomes continued to reiterate why she feels its important to be cordial to others, despite differences.
She shared a screenshot of a post, which read "Contrary to the tone of the world today....you can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind."
In text below the screenshot, she wrote "Read that again!"
At the time of writing, Mahomes has not endorsed a presidential candidate, however, this isn't the first time the influencer and soon-to-be mother of three was seen seemingly defending a controversial figure.
Last year, Mahomes reportedly told people who were opposing her brother-in-law Jackson Mahomes after he was accused of sexual assault to "just shut up."
Earlier this month, she and her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shared pictures from a Morgan Wallen concert, over three years after the country singer was caught saying a racial slur on camera.
Though Mahomes' social media presence has proven polarizing, it doesn't appear that she will backtrack on any of her posts, comments, or views anytime soon.
