Gas prices are too high for people in Los Angeles, including Armie Hammer.

The 38-year-old actor, who was blacklisted from Hollywood in 2021 after multiple women brought abuse allegations against him, took to Instagram on Tuesday, August 27, to announce he was selling his beloved pickup truck.

Hammer started the two-minute clip by telling followers, "So, I've been back in L.A. for a couple of weeks now. This is my truck. I bought this for myself in 2017 as a Christmas gift for myself. I have loved this truck intensely and taken it camping and across the country multiple times and on long road trips, and I took it for one last road trip to CarMax."

The Call Me by Your Name star clarified this video was not a CarMax advertisement.

"Since being back in L.A., I have put about 4 or 500 dollars worth of gas in it, and I can't afford it. I can't afford the gas anymore," theDeath on the Nile actor admitted. "But you know what? That's okay. I got a new car. It's tiny. It's a hybrid. I'm probably gonna put about 10 bucks of gas in it a month, and this is it," the California native quipped.

The Entourage actor seemed to be embracing all the changes in his life, telling followers, "Here's to new beginnings. It's my birthday tomorrow, so August 28, I will be starting my birthday in a new car, in a new apartment, in a new life in Los Angeles."

Thefather-of-twoadmitted that his kids were not on board with his decision to sell the car. "They're like, Dad, all our memories are in the truck, so I haven't told them yet. But I'll tell them, and they'll be fine. Kids are adaptable," Hammer noted. The Rebecca star shares kids Harper, 9, and Ford, 7, with ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers.

Hammer ended the video with some reassuring words for himself saying, "I just keep telling myself parking is going to be easier and gas is going to be cheaper."

Hammer has been accused of rape, abuse, and cannibalism — accusations he denies — by a multitude of women, including ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze.

In July 2022, a source told Variety that Hammer was broke and working in the Cayman Islands selling timeshares. In July of 2024, Hammer sat down for a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan on Pier Morgan Uncensored, where he attempted to clear his name and once again denied all allegations against him
