Ryan Seacrest has addressed his Wheel of Fortune "chemistry" with new co-host Vanna White.

In June 2023, Pat Sajak, 77, who hosted the game show for more than four decades, announced his retirement. Seacrest, 49, was announced as his replacement that same month.

On Monday, the American Idol host took to Instagram to remind viewers that the popular game show returns on September 9. "Just 1 WEEK until the @wheeloffortune premiere!" he wrote in the caption of a teaser video.

Fans commenting on the video mentioned Seacrest and White's "chemistry" ahead of his Wheel of Fortune hosting debut.

"Ryan, I am so excited!! The chemistry between you and Vanna is just incredible," one viewer wrote, to which Seacrest replied, "We're having fun together!"

Another commenter wrote: "Ryan, I went to a few of the tapings and let me just say, you did an excellent job! Your chemistry with vanna white is great! Look forward to the new season!"

"Thank you!" the host replied.

Seacrest, who previously hosted Live With Kelly and Ryan and served as an executive producer on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, also demonstrated his puzzle-solving skills in the comments.

"Can't wait!! You two are a perfect wheel buddies. It's going to be _ _ _ _ _ !!" an Instagram user wrote in the Wheel of Fortune style.

"Great! (Did I get it?)" Seacrest replied. The user confirmed he had guessed correctly.

Newsweek has contacted Wheel of Fortune via email for comment.

While announcing his retirement last June, Sajak—who recorded more than 8,000 episodes since his start in 1981 and became the longest-running host of a game show in 2018—wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Well, the time has come. I've decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last."

He continued: "It's been a wonderful ride, and I'll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it'll keep the clickbait sites busy!)"

In an interview with People in December 2022, White said it was "depressing" to think about the day their time on the show together would come to an end.

"I don't even want to think about that. I mean, we're a team. That's depressing," the Wheel of Fortune co-host said, adding, "Everybody relates Wheel of Fortune to Pat and Vanna. We're like Ken and Barbie, you know? We've been in everybody's homes for 40 years, so it would be weird having somebody else turn my letters."

White is set to continue on the show alongside Seacrest, though she recently told CBS News' Sunday Morning she had been "scared" to work with someone new.

"I think our chemistry is good," White told the outlet of working with Seacrest, adding: "I had no idea what to expect when I'm used to one person for so long. I was very scared, but he's doing a great job."

She also said: "I've known Ryan for probably 20 years. But in the past couple of months, we've done some traveling together for the show, and we got to know each other a little better, too."

Seacrest adds Wheel of Fortune to his long list of hosting gigs. During the same September 1 CBS segment, the former Live From the Red Carpet host rattled off his list of jobs.

"I'll start with the beginning of the year," he said. "New Year's Eve, the ball drops, that starts the year; American Top 40; On Air With Ryan Seacrest, in the mornings on KIIS-FM and then syndicated across the country; American Idol; and Wheel of Fortune; and then some specials here and there."
