Brittany Mahomes' alleged support of former president Donald Trump has been the subject of controversy over the past few weeks, leaving fans to wonder if she and Taylor Swift will sit next to each other at the Kansas City Chiefs' season opener. Now, the wait is over.

During the Chiefs' first game of the season on Thursday, September 5 — where the team earned a 27-20 victory against the Baltimore Ravens — the two women weren't spotted or photographed together. The new seating arrangement marked a stark difference from the 2023-2024 football season, where Swift, 34, and Mahomes, 29, were photographed in the same suite together multiple times, cheering on their guys, hugging each other in excitement. Swift, of course, is dating tight end Travis Kelce, while Brittany is married to quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

According to a report from TMZ, Swift and Brittany watched the game from different suites. Brittany, who is pregnant with her and Patrick's third child together, didn't share any photos from a suite, though she posted several Instagram Stories of herself on the field with her and Patrick's daughter, Sterling, 3.

Though neither party has suggested that there is a feud or a rift between the women, Brittany's Instagram likes have left Swift fans riled up.

Last month, Brittany reportedly liked a post outlining presidential candidate Donald Trump's policy if he is to win the 2024 election.

She also reportedly liked a comment in support of Trump and his vice presidential running mate, J.D. Vance.

Though Brittany has not publicly endorsed any presidential candidate, Trump has since thanked Brittany for her supposed support. Conservative commentator Candace Owens has also defended Brittany from the backlash that has followed her reported social media activity.

Back in 2020, Swift endorsed president Joe Biden during the election, and allowed him to use her song "Only The Young" as part of their campaign. At the time of writing, Swift has not addressed the 2024 election.

Will their seemingly different politics lead to bad blood between them? Only time can tell.
