Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are officially legally divorced and single.

The pair's moderated and confidential agreement to split their assets — with details on spousal support and custody of their daughters, Willa, 4, and Delphie, 2 — was approved by a Florida judge in Miami-Dade county, per documents obtained by Billboard on Friday, September 6.

Judge Gina Beovides declared Jonas and Turner's marriage "irretrievably broken," and concluded the "voluntary, confidential" parenting plan the pair have agreed upon is in the best interest of the family.

"Specifically as relates to the parties' Parenting Plan, [Jonas] previously voluntarily dismissed all relief and claims sought in relation to said Parenting Plan," Judge Beovides' paperwork read.

Jonas filed for divorce from Turner on September 5, 2023 in Miami-Dade county. The following day, the couple announced their split in a joint statement shared to Instagram.

"After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children," the statement read.

Though the statement used the word "amicably," things seemed anything but when a source claiming "direct knowledge" of the couple alleged to TMZ that Turner was a partier and Jonas was the one caring for their children "pretty much all of the time."

The musician swiftly faced backlash for this, with social media blowing up with accusations that his team was trying to make Turner look like a bad mother. Turner would later speak with Vogue UK about how superstar pal Taylor Swift was an "absolute hero" during their divorce fallout.

Then, on September 21, the X-Men: Dark Phoenix actress filed a suit against Jonas in Manhattan, requesting the "immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained."

According to court documents obtained by The Messenger, the legal filing claimed that the family had agreed their children's "forever home" would be in Turner's native England, after the couple entered a contract to sell their Miami home.

Turner allegedly filed that she found out about Jonas' divorce filing "through the media" and that despite his filing stating that it was in the children's best interests that "the parties have shared parental responsibility," she could not return to England with their children because "the Father has possession of the children's passports... he refuses to return the passports to the Mother and refuses to send the children home to England with the Mother."

A representative for Jonas denied Turner's claims in a statement shared with Billboard, saying the exes had met that week in New York to "work together towards an amicable co-parenting setup." They also said that Jonas is seeking shared parenting and is "OK" with the kids living in both the U.S. and the U.K., adding, "This is an unfortunate legal disagreement about a marriage that is sadly ending."

On January 17, 2024, Turner dropped her "wrongful retention" suit against Jonas after the pair signed a co-parenting consent plan that was approved by a U.K. judge.

Turner and Jonas began dating in 2016, and tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in Las Vegas in May 2019, before celebrating with a lavish wedding in the South of France the following month.
