The Footloose star took to Instagram with a shirtless photo that left little to the imagination. Lounging on the ground, shirt unbuttoned and flashing a sly grin, Bacon captioned the image, "This is 66. 🎂" Fans were quick to flood the comments section with birthday wishes and admiration for his toned physique.
"Looking good Kevin 👍💙🥂" one person applauded.
"Happy birthday gorgeous! ❤️" another fan exclaimed.
"For the love of God, will you start aging!" joked a third.
Just before his 66th spin around the sun, Bacon — currently starring as John Labat in the thriller MaXXXine — graced the red carpet accompanied by his family on Monday, June 24, in Hollywood, California. The Golden Globe Award winner stood alongside his wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick, and their two adult children, Travis and Sosie.
Married for more than 35 years, the lovebirds have consistently shared snippets of their affection with fans online over the years. On Wednesday, May 1, Sedgwick, 58, appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and was asked if she and Bacon have ever "fooled around" while working together.
Without skipping a beat, Sedgwick said, "Yes, absolutely! If the trailer's rockin', don't come a-knockin'." Her response not only set off a wave of laughter in the studio but also underscored the playful and deep connection she shares with her husband.
Last year, Bacon told Jimmy Kimmel on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live he "absolutely" refuses to answer questions about their "secret" to a long marriage. "I mean, look, let's face it, it doesn't work," he jested. "How many people stay married? Nobody."
Still, the couple, who have been married since 1988, seem to have this thing called "marriage" figured out. With each year, Bacon and Sedgwick prove that some things, like their relationship — and evidently, Kevin Bacon himself — only get better with age.
